Umbria Film Festival
Montone, Italy, July 10, 2004
The Umbria Film Festival honored Colin Firth by giving him the key to the city of Montone on July 10, 2004, in a grand historical pageant in Fortebraccio Square, with the participants dressed in medieval costumes and much fanfare. Pride and Prejudice was also shown in two parts on a large outdoor screen in the piazza over the course of two nights. |

Firth goes Forth (Mail on Sunday, Aug 15, 2004) |
Wearing ridiculous
clothes is no problem for 43-year-old heart-throb
Colin Firth. After all, he even managed to look sexy in that
reindeer jumper in Bridget Jones's Diary. He's clearly been let
loose near the dressing-up box again—here
he is at a medieval
festival in Montone, Umbria. |
His wife Livia, 33,
above with camcorder, is Italian, and Firth is proud of the fact that
sons one-year-old Matteo and three-year-old Luca are shaping up to be
bilingual. He has another son Will, 13. from a previous relationship with Canadian actress Meg Tilly, seen here with Colin. But judging by the look on poor Will's face, dad's fooling around is all old hat. |
