Opening Night for Three Sisters

April 3, 2003

On Thursday, April 3, Colin Firth attended the opening night performance of Chekov's play Three Sisters at London's Playhouse Theatre.

This newly staged version stars Kristin Scott Thomas, Colin's co-star from The English Patient, whose character will always be remembered for her obvious bad taste in dumping Colin for Ralph Fiennes.

Christopher Hampton's (Dangerous Liaisons) new adaptation of Chekov's classic is being directed by Michael Blakemore. It also stars Kate Burton and Madeleine Worral.
